To Better My Brand

After reading 30 Ideas For Your Social Media Plan I found it very informative for helping promote a business or yourself.  There are a lot of different ideas and steps that go into creating a social media strategy.  Being connected with your culture and your target is very important as well as customer relations, monitoring competitors, keeping up to date, providing links and generating business.  You have to always be on your toes and be able to handle a crisis at anytime.  One of the most informative ideas was Idea 24
Avoid common Etiquette pitfalls
1.     Being pushy
2.     Talking like a merketroid
3.     Engaging and ignoring
4.     Inconsistency
5.     Acting like you know me
6.     Not keeping your comment house in order
7.     Being like a robot
8.     Clueless cross-post
9.     Being faceless
10.  Not following back

I will apply these ideas to help establish my brand as the adventurous foodie

Tweet Tweet!

Twitter is a social network I never really understood the point of Twitter.  I always thought it was just people posting their current thoughts or statuses just like Facebook, but it’s a lot more than that. It’s the complete opposite. Twitter is a mini blog that allows individuals and companies to display

·       Thoughts
·       Advertisements
·       Costumer Concerns
·       Pictures
·       Links
·       Networking
·       Marketing
·       Videos

You can also get in contact with people or companies that you normally not able to. I detailed a car for one of the NJ housewives and tweeted her and got a response on how she was happy with the job.  Now that’s tweeting at its best.  Tweet away!

Little Apple Tree

You probably don't understand why I decided to name my personal brand "Little Apple Tree" but it is actually very simple...

It started with one of my best friend who nicknames me like this !

According to her, "an apple tree has strong roots and can go through ordeals of life".

Her explanations were so cute and poetic, that I've decided to use it for my personal brand.

Indeed, as you already know, I'd like to talk about my personal experience in travelling and my personal experience in life in general.
When I was thinking of my brand's title, I asked myself these questions: "Who am I and how people see me ?" I immediately thought of how my best friends see me and this nickname came to my mind !

Apple Tree symbol

I am a curious girl who loves experimenting new things. An apple tree needs earth to survive but if the earth is poor, it will probably have less chance to have a long life !

This is exactly the point of my brand.

If you want to have strong roots, you first need to have a good quality of earth !

All of this is a image but it actually represents pretty well my vision of things. Build your own roots ! Be curious and open minded !

Never Vacation "alone" Again

My social media plan is a mission to get people to vacation with who they want to vacation with.

Objective:
.) Plan a vacation with people who share your interest.
.) Know when and where to Vacation.
.) Know what and who to expect before you arrive.

All this will be done through my website. It will almost be like a social calendar.

For Instance, see who booked for what cruise on what dates and join them, or avoid them!
It will be promoted throughout Facebook, Twitter, and Travel Blogs.

You only have a honeymoon once, (hopefully) spend it right.

Target Audience:
People who love to travel.
Whether you are 60 years old, or 18 years old looking for spring break party.
Don’t spend your get-away with the wrong crowd. Your Grandma doesn’t want to see you drunk.

Social Media:
Facebook is key with my situation. Since you already have all your friends on Facebook, there is no need to search for your friends again.

You will be able to log into my website with your Facebook account.
No one knows you better than Facebook.

All your information will be accessed and my website will know who you are, (age, sex, hobbies, job).

Also advertising and Tweeting on travel websites such as www.expedia.com and www.tripadvisor.com would be very helpful to the consumer.

Remember,

“It’s not where you vacation, it’s who you vacation with.”

ps. you will all be missed. I can not make it to class today, i am feeling very sick.

Personal Branding Strategies

Opportunities & Decisions

There are millions of blogs out there, but none focus solely on discussion and debates on various topics us men want to discuss.

There are websites that inform us about things, and then there are forums and networks dedicated to discussion; I want to create a place that infuses both.

ESPN is by far the leader in American sports, but what about a worldwide scope of sports? And there are numerous blogs about certain teams, sports, genres of music and film, etc. What about a Facebook-esque place that concentrates on all of these things?

I think it's time someone takes initiative in the field of a men's discussion and debate forum.

I have seen some great discussions on Facebook, about plenty of different topics. But only a handful of people will see these discussions, and depending on who you are "friends" with on the site decides if you can partake in the debate. This is unfair!

Men of all ages want to come to a single website where they can learn about topics from sports, music, movies, politics and worldly events that pertain to them. That is the idea behind debateroom.

My first steps on this journey are analyzing competitors (ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Rolling Stone) and spreading the word. Seeing how popular social media is, I will be sure to promote the idea via Facebook, Twitter, and possibly Instagram less extensively.

I see the opportunity to link these two different types of websites (informative and forums) and I want to create a place that stems from the best of both of these worlds. That place is debateroom.

Broadway Theatre

Objectives:

  • Reach out to customers at a personal level.
  • Receive as much feedback as possible.
  • Promote shows and offer discounts to followers.
We want to expand our service to a mass of potential customers. Our shows are well recognized, however we want more customer awareness to increase.

We as company have seen the effectiveness of these social media tools. We want to exceed the performance of those who have implemented their strategy.

Audience:
  • Fans of Broadway Musicals. We want to make the experience much more satisfying than it already is.
  • All age groups from teenagers to adults. We want to give everyone the opportunity to learn more about Broadway. Through this we will reach the mass.
It makes sense for us to promote our social media sites via our own website as a main strategy. However, we will  use telemarketing, radio, and brochures.

We will be using the following social media tools for this strategy:
  1. Facebook: Our Facebook page will promote big events, ask questions about previous shows, and ask for feedback. Also we will take requests into consideration.
  2. Twitter: Our twitter site will promote big events, ask questions about previous shows, and ask for feedback. Also we will take requests into consideration. In addition, we will engage conversations about these topics.
  3. Broadway blog: Through our blog, we will inspire others to join in on discussions about Broadway shows. Many sales promotions will be added to our blog daily.
We will have a department designed and trained for the sole purpose of efficient social media implementations. Employees must be Marketing majors, be intuitive, and have high customer support experience.

My Social Media Plan ( Silent Creator)

                                     My Personal Brand

My Social media plan revolves around advertising and YOU! It will be focusing on everyone, since in this day in age everyone is a target market for companies, not matter the age, sex or ethnicity.

Objectives: -Microblog about new advertising( Print,TV, Internet,Outdoor)
                   - Create Awareness about my personal brand through Social Media (Facebook,
                     Twitter)
                   - Create a Call to action from my audience (Feedback and Interaction)

I will create a Twitter account specifically for microblogging about new advertisments that millions of people see everyday.

Target Audience: - Simply ordinary people who read magazines, watch television, see
                               billboards
( Attracting this type of audience gets a more honest response on advertisements about what they think the ads are missing and also the pros in the ads.)

Why am I going after everyone?

There are millions of people everyday that are getting marketed to
whether they like it or not. Advertisers are focusing in on different
segments everyday, and I would want to give these everday people a
voice, to give their opinion on what they like and dont like.

Social Media Tools -
Facebook- I will be using Facebook to set up a fan base and create
awareness about the blog and create a longer term
relationships with followers. I could also use it by posting
                                                   the advertisements as well.

                                  - Twitter- I will be using Twitter as the main page and where all the
action will be taking place. Having people follow me will
                                                 develop a sense of credibility.

Everyday people are being marketed to, Its time for you to speak your mind on all these advertisements!

Let's Build it !

So, What's The Plan?

This situation is only temporary...
I'm climbing up the mountain
COME WITH ME!

These tips that I'll be giving all come from experience and close mentoring.

I want those who follow my blog to know that if I can make it, they also can. I want to say that my readers are college juniors or seniors that really want to be a part of something big.

Here are some social media sites where I can engage with people:

  • Twitter: I have opened a twitter page where I will post the most positive quotes on a daily basis. In addition, a series of opportunities that people should take into consideration. Follow me @MannyLokXo

  • Linked-in: Networking with the right people is always important. Join my page and you will find many job opportunities. Lets Connect!

  • Facebook: Just like many others, I will have a Facebook page where I'll do similarities from my twitter page, only I will focus more on reaching people at a more personal level.

My goal is to build relationships with people who might find themselves in stressful times in their lives.

I will create conversations on how to make connections, how to give good first impressions, or even how approach professionals.

So many people just need a little push in order to go an extra mile. I want to give that little push.

My Plan to Take Over the Blogging World!

The Ambitious Fashionista... thats who I am.

To be succesfull at anything in life you must always have a plan. I have devised a Social Media Strategy to reach my goals!

Objective: My objective is to create a blog for like-minded girls all over the world to hang out and interact with each other. I hope to get the blog name out to as many women as possble and create awareness through word-of-mouth and other social media tools.

Target Audience: My target audience is girls/women age 18-50 who are in the corporate/business world. I would also target young girls who are breaking into their careers and need advice on fashion, beauty, and work. The type of person reading? Well she is ambitious, fashion-conscious and eager to learn ways to improve on their everyday fashion as well as bringing that fashion to the office, meetings, etc. A "dress for success" type of deal.

Issues/Opportunities: There are many opportunities for this blog. For starters, there aren't many working fashion blogs out there. Secondly, looking for partnerships with other successful groups/teams such as "Dress for Success" would be a great way to get the word out and gain new readers.

Strategies: Social media would be the main way to get new visitors to the blog.

Many social media outlets would be used to get the word out:
  • Chictopia - the leading fashion blogging community that offers fashion inspiration from photos of people in places. This is a great way to get my pictures out there and re-route readers to my personal blog.
  • Facebook - have a fan page with different themes and questions every week of what readers are looking for
  • Twitter - stay up-to-date on promotions of my blog, announce new postings and connect with people all over the world
  • LinkedIn - promote the blog and befriend woemn exectuvies from all over the world
Tactics: My blog would help women all over the world who have problems incorporating fashion into the everyday work office. Also, I would give tips on making fabulous outfits for girls on a tight budget!

Measurement: I would measure success by how many visitors we get per month. Also, Id like to encourage readers to give their opinions on topics that I mention.

Example of a post: this is what I wore to work today:

Dress: Michael Kors Peplum dress (Originally $189, Marshalls for $39.99!!!) Shoes: Dolce Vita (Lord & Taylor sale $78) Forever 21 necklace for $7.99

Tip of the day: Look like a million bucks without actually spending it!

All in all, I would consider my blog to be an extension of my thoughts, style and beauty tips. My fashion girls hang out on sites such as fashionista.com, chictopia.com, etc. I will post and actively communicate with the girls while promoting my blog.

Some of my competitors would be other girls on Chictopia who love fashion. Other competitors would be "Dress for Success bloggers" (unless I become part of this team), other fashion bloggers and online magazines.

In a world where women are increasingly working in corprate america, it is essential that we do not lose our femininity and keep our style while climbing to the top!
