Never Vacation "alone" Again

My social media plan is a mission to get people to vacation with who they want to vacation with.

Objective:
.) Plan a vacation with people who share your interest.
.) Know when and where to Vacation.
.) Know what and who to expect before you arrive.

All this will be done through my website. It will almost be like a social calendar.

For Instance, see who booked for what cruise on what dates and join them, or avoid them!
It will be promoted throughout Facebook, Twitter, and Travel Blogs.

You only have a honeymoon once, (hopefully) spend it right.

Target Audience:
People who love to travel.
Whether you are 60 years old, or 18 years old looking for spring break party.
Don’t spend your get-away with the wrong crowd. Your Grandma doesn’t want to see you drunk.

Social Media:
Facebook is key with my situation. Since you already have all your friends on Facebook, there is no need to search for your friends again.

You will be able to log into my website with your Facebook account.
No one knows you better than Facebook.

All your information will be accessed and my website will know who you are, (age, sex, hobbies, job).

Also advertising and Tweeting on travel websites such as www.expedia.com and www.tripadvisor.com would be very helpful to the consumer.

Remember,

“It’s not where you vacation, it’s who you vacation with.”

ps. you will all be missed. I can not make it to class today, i am feeling very sick.

  1. Wass,

I like the concept - having some trouble with the exection during our class period.

I want to see you build your brand through social media. This heavily relies upon a web site that you hope to build.

What else can you do to target your audience with your messages? Where are they "hanging out" online?

    Let's take another look.

    Thx.

  2. well as i mentioned, my target market is already there on established websites. whether i partner up with them in the future or them just having to post a link on their very popular website can boost my sites recognition. so basically, "advertising" my site on a famous site is where the gold lies. for instance, Expedia having a link to my website when the customer is checking what dates to vacation, would be ideal and very successful. and even directly on a cruises website, "see what dates are 'HOT' ".
